Instance was my directorial debut in Hollywood. My friend Teria Birlon wrote, produced, and acted in it. It’s a dark story exploring what commonly happens in high schools when teachers fall into relationships with the students. Working with Co-Star Denise Dowse was an incredible experience. Instance won Best short film, best score, best actress, and the directing award in the festival circuit.
